Service vs. Price con’t

The basic comparison was discussed last week when I spoke on service vs. price comparison. Today, I’m going to add on to this topic.

My car had the unfortunate fate today of having a flat. An aftermarket tire as you may know with the 20″ low profile performance tires, etc. However today as I drove on the highway and the situation of my tire losing pressure, I quickly realized that service has its importance in the equation. As they say, things only matter to you when you most need it.

At the time of the tow, I was on the way to the airport. When we got the flat, we called BMW Roadside Assistance. They mentioned that it would be free of charge to either change tires or to have the car towed to the dealership. I opted for the second option based on my circumstances.

Anyway, the point is, at one point, price isnt the biggest deal. If you want your car fixed or your passport expedited if you need to leave town, service is the only thing that could possibly make your day smoother. In my case, without the roadside assistance which by the way costs $200 a year; I could still be stranded on the side of the highway. On the other hand, I could of called a tow truck on my own, have my car or wheels changed and still have the same result.

As my personal conclusion, with the bigger price, service should be exponentially be better. On ther flip side of the coin, if service isn’t a priority, the price better be reflective of that.

In my personal work career, I have sought to provide the best possible service, I think its merely another part of making the experience that much better. It further solidifies Posh’s belief that during the hours that the restaurant is closed, somebody shall still pickup. In the case of frequent customers, we should be able to provide a level of comfort or additional “care” to ensure that their satisfaction is ensured.

Posh believes in sustainable, consistent service through our value driven concept.

In terms of my car, its probably time that I check on it and see if I can get back on the road.
